Missing Your Parents Who Have Passed Away?

When the parents have died, then there is nothing we can do other than pray for them. And indeed there is nothing more that can be expected by the parents who have died, except the prayer sentence from the child. That means, praying for both parents who have died is a must for a child. Don't you also want to be a devoted child to both your parents?

Praying for parents who have died can be done as a pilgrimage to his grave or done at home after performing prayers. There is a hadith that says that, “If a person dies, then his deeds are cut off except for three things. that is, alms jariyah, knowledge utilized, and prayers of pious children. " Here is a prayer you can say so that your parents get forgiveness and protection in heaven.

اللّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ وَارْحَمْهُ وَعَافِهِ وَاعْفُ عَنْهُ وَاَكْرِمْ نُزُلَهُ وَوَسِّعْ مَدْخَلَهُ وَاغْسِلْهُ بِلْمَاءِ وَالشَّلْجِ وَالْبَرْدِ وَنَقِّهِ مِنَ الْخَطَايَا كَمَا يُنَقَّى الثَّوْبُ الْاَبْيَضُ مِنَ الدَّ نَسِ وَاَبْدِلْهُ دَارً اخَيْرًا مِنْ دَارِهِ وَاَهْلًا خَيْرًا مِنْ اَهْلِهِ وَزَوْجًا خَيْرًا مِنْ زَوْجِهِ وَادْخِلْهُ الجَنَّةَ وَاعِذْهُ مِنْ عَدَابِ الْقَبرِ وَفِتْنَتِهِ وَمِنْ عَذَابِ النَّارِ

Allahummaghfir lahu warhamhu wa ‘aafihi wa’fu ‘anhu wa akrim nuzulahu wa wassi’ madkholahu, waghsilhu bil maa i wats-tsalji walbarodi wa naqqihii minal khothoo ya kamaa yunaqqots- tsawbul abyadhu minad danas, wa abdilhu daaron khoiron min daarihii wa ahlan khoiron min ahlihii wa zawjan khoiron min zawjihi, wa adkhilhul jannata wa a ‘idzhu min ‘adzaabil qobri wa fitnatihi wa min ‘adzaabin naar.

Meaning: O Allah, forgive and have mercy, release him, release him. And glorify his dwelling place, widen his entrance, wash him with clear and cool water, and purify him from all uncleanness like a white robe clean from dirt, and replace his house with a better house than he left, and a better family, from what he left behind. Enter him into heaven, and protect him from the torment of the grave and his slander, and the torment of the fire of hell.

If the deceased is the mother (female), then the word ‘HU’ is changed to ‘HA’ (Allahummagh fir Laha). And if both are dead, then the word ‘HU’ is changed to ‘HUMA’ (Allahummagh fi La Humma).
