Are youths treated this way in politics?

Image
By: Nur 'Inayah Binti Hanif Salihudin (Assignment 2) “Cucu, cucu nak mencelah, cucu,”  said Tanjung Karang Member of Parliament, Tan Sri Noh Omar when Muar Member of Parliament, Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman wanted to intervene in the debate of Langkawi Member of Parliament, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. Baling Member of Parliament, Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim then continued: "Tanya Atuk (referring to Dr Mahathir) kenapa dia letak jawatan?"  " Boleh mencelah?  Syed Saddiq asked before Noh once again interrupted: "Bagi cucu, cucu nak mencelah." The way Syed Saddiq was ridiculed and belittled in Parliament is a testament to how the views and opinions of youths are often abandoned and ignored by the older generation. Let the youth take over and bring Malaysia to a better place.  The people chose them to convey the voice of the people but why is the voice of the people disturbed by these dissenting voices? Apart from that, there should be no term for grandchi...

Image
By: N ur Farah Hanim Bt Rozhan (Assignment 2) Malaysia's Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin barely cleared a significant political test on Monday, as his alliance won simply enough votes to evacuate the lower house the speaker in a vote seen as a significant gauge of his administration's help. The vote was the principal genuine proportion of Muhyiddin's sponsorship since his alliance assumed control over the legislature in March after a force gets inside the then decision alliance prompted the abdication of ancestor Mahathir Mohamad.  An aggregate of 111 legislators bolstered Muhyiddin's offered to evacuate Mohamad Ariff Md Yusof, a broadly regarded previous Federal Court judge, who became speaker after the last political race in May 2018. Around 109 cast a ballot against the move. One government part was missing for clinical reasons. Nga Kor Min, one of two delegate speakers and an individual from the resistance Democratic Action Party, reported his renunc...

World Sports Rugby dominated by first world countries has expanded across the world including to Malaysia, although it isn’t popular among Malaysians, certainly, it’s becoming a people sport in Malaysia! This game may look violent but it’s really interesting and pretty much exciting.  The development of rugby in Malaysia is not as great as football, as we can see Malaysians closer to their hearts and more familiar with football players than Malaysian rugby players.  Victory Spree Malaysia Rugby Sport has finally gained people attention after Malaysia Rugby Squad Senior champion in the Asia Rugby Sevens Trophy after beating Singapore 17-14 in the final, leaving SEA Games like Thailand in 3rd place, Indonesia in 6th place, Laos 8th and Brunei in 11th place. Covid 19: My First MCO

By: Nur 'Inayah I often see movies about pandemics, epidemics and weird infectious viruses but who would have thought that I would experience living in a pandemic, having to be quarantined and living in fear just like in zombie movies but the "zome" is the Covid-19 virus and this is not in the movies, it is the reality. I went through a lot of things during this MCO. Firstly, I had to go through my classes online. Which was super hard at first, but Alhamdulillah, I managed to pull through. Secondly, I was kind of demotivated at home because my parents are stuck in Teluk Intan, Perak with my brother and could not cross the state borders. I was left in my home with my sister and her husband. They were staying downstairs in the guest room and I was alone upstairs. I felt a bit relieved that at least I have someone with me at home or I can go insane without having someone to talk to for months! The first two weeks was okay for me. I enjoyed staying at home, not having to wake...

Art students’ creations refresh our perspective, even when only viewed online

Image
By: Nur Farah Hanim Bt Rozhan (Assignment 3) With no one to see the art, does the message get misplaced? In the event that we can’t be with people, do we disregard how to associate? No. Instead, we discover other ways of sharing and understanding each other. The understudies at Etobicoke School of the Arts, like other students sharpening their imagination over the city, the nation, and the world, ordinarily have a year-end presentation. They appear and offer their work, hold a Portfolio Day to grandstand the natural products of their labor, and make associations with the bigger, exterior world.  This year, the Class of 2020 has taken the deal online. “The pressure with instructing and having the deal online is the misfortune of individual interaction with other people,” watches Matthew Varey, head of modern artist at the Toronto tall school. “We are utilized to engaging with brilliant, inventive, humble, effective, and driven individuals each day. That's the misfortun...

Politik Dan Orang Muda

Happy Cov-EID 19 Celebrations

Image
By: Nur Farah Hanim Bt Rozhan (Additional Assignment Plus 1)   Eid al-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan and the start of a new month for Muslims, Syawal. Eid al-Fitr translates to “the feast of breaking the fast” and is the only day that Muslims are not permitted to fast. In the days before Eid al-Fitr, Muslims around the world would typically be making plans marking the end of the month-long fasting. For some, the preparation is more significant than others. In Malaysia, there is a longstanding tradition of ex-pats or Muslims returning to their ancestral villages and home towns. Eid al-Fitr is also commonly known as Hari Raya Aidilfitri or Hari Raya Puasa in Southeast Asian countries. Hari Raya falls on the first day of the 10th month in the Islamic calendar, Syawal. For Muslims in Malaysia, it is a significant celebration recognizing self-restraint during Ramadan and symbolizes purification and renewal. It is also a time of forgiveness where Muslims often visit th...

Cov-eid 19 Celebration

Image
By: Nur 'Inayah Hanif Salihudin (Additional Assignment Plus 1) This year's eid is so much different than any other eid I have ever experienced with my family and I am saying this not because of the MCO but due to the fact that my grandmother is not here with us this year and my grandfather's health is also not in the best condition. Because my "kampung" is not really in "kampung" and we do not have to cross the state, all my family members had the chance to come over to celebrate eid together but with precautions, of course. We have come up with our own family SOP before visiting my grandfather's house. It is a new experience but a memorable one, indeed.  We started our day as early as 8 am in the morning to perform "takbir raya" followed by "solat raya berjemaah" with all my family members. Then, us granddaughters will collect "duit raya" from the family members. Surprisingly, I still have the chance to collect "du...
